H.E. Vahagn Afyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to India, participated in the Intercession Rite conducted at St. Nazareth Church in Kolkata for the Holy Martyrs of the Armenian Genocide

On the occasion of the 110th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide, H.E. Vahagn Afyan, Ambassador of the Republic of Armenia to India, participated in the Intercession Rite for the Holy Martyrs held at the St. Nazareth Church in Kolkata. The service was conducted by Very Rev. Fr. Tachat Archimandrite Tsaturyan, the spiritual pastor of the Armenian community in India, and officiated by Rev. Fr. Petros Kadeyan.

Following the ceremony, attendees laid flowers at the memorial dedicated to the victims of the Armenian Genocide, located in the churchyard. This monument is considered the only one of its kind in the territory of India.

In commemoration of the day, a tribute was also paid at St. Mary’s Church in Chennai by Shivkumar Eashwaran, the Honorary Consul of Armenia, Honorary Consul of Armenia.
